You can repeat the example and come back to the lesson whenever you need to.

EVERYDAY CONVERSATIONS

English for the
things you do.

I’m starting with conversations you’re likely to have,
like meeting someone or ordering a drink.

01 / SAY HELLO

Hi, I’m Asha.

Nice to meet you!

Meet someone new.

Say your name and ask theirs.

02 / ASK FOR SOMETHING

“A tea,
please.”

Ask for what you need.

Practise ordering a tea or asking for something.

03 / TRY AGAIN

“Can you
say it again?”

It’s okay to ask again.

If you miss something, ask the other person to repeat it.

A NOTE FROM THE MAKER

Why I’m building
Speakmint.

SouradipMaker of Speakmint

In ninth grade, I tried to tell my crush how I felt. I didn’t express myself well, and I got rejected. Don’t be like me: practise saying what matters to you.

When I started my CS degree, I fumbled a speech in front of 60 people. I felt embarrassed. That moment made me realise how much it matters to speak clearly and show confidence in what you know.

It’s not just about getting through a speech. I wanted to meet people I could learn from, share ideas, and present solutions I cared about, without my speaking holding me back.

That’s why I’m building Speakmint. I want us to have a place to practise out loud, make mistakes, and try again, so we can speak more fluently when it matters.

BEFORE YOU JOIN

Wondering
about something?

About the app and what’s planned for launch.

I’m new to English. Is Speakmint for me?

Yes. Speakmint is for beginners, including people who know some English but hesitate to speak. Each lesson will start with an example, and you can return to the words and guidance whenever you need them.

Will it be available on my phone?

Both iOS and Android. You can tell me which one you use when you join the waitlist.

When can I try it?

I’m still building it, so I don’t have a launch date yet. Join the waitlist and I’ll email you when it’s ready.

Is joining the waitlist free?

Yes. Joining is free and doesn’t create an app account or a subscription. We don’t ask for payment details.

Will I be able to try a lesson for free?

I’m planning to make your first session and its feedback free, with no subscription needed. I’ll confirm the details at launch.
